PWYP Mozambique is part of the Mozambican CSO Platform for Natural Resources and the Extractive Industry, a platform bringing together more than 40 member organisations for collective advocacy action for transparency and accountability in extractive sector. Hosted by a local CSO elected for three years and coordinated by a steering committee composed of 10 CSO representatives, the coalition has defined its strategic priorities for collective advocacy actions and campaigns,which includes (i) monitoring environmental, social and economic impacts of extractive industries, including resettlement process; (ii) monitoring policy implementation and influencing pro-poor policy reforms in natural resources management; (iii) monitoring revenue sharing mechanisms with affected communities; (iv) EITI Engagement in EITI; (v) capacity building of its members and community activists; (vi) Research to inform advocacy and policy reforms.
