PWYP youth are calling for a fairer, cleaner energy future

All over the world, climate change is a major concern for young people. As the world warms at an unprecedented pace, young members of the Publish What You Pay (PWYP) movement from around the world are calling for a just transition to cleaner, safer energy. A transition that takes into account the historical responsibility of wealthier producing countries, which should act first and fastest to phase out fossil fuels and finance a global energy transition. A transition that gives a voice to people living in resource-dependent countries and meets their needs. “Energy transition is everybody’s business”.

Building on two decades of work on extractive industries transparency, the Publish What You Pay network of over a thousand organisations from more than 50 countries is campaigning for a just transition to a fairer, cleaner energy future.
