The OGP Summit 2019 is taking place this week in Ottawa, Canada, and many PWYP members will be there to highlight key PWYP messages and priorities!

Tuesday 28 May – Civil Society Day

OGP Civil Society Day – Elisa Peter, Executive Director at PWYP, will be speaking about gender.

Thursday 30 May – Day 1 – OGP Summit

  • 8:00-9:00: PWYP Meet & Greet, hosted by PWYP Canada. This is a great opportunity to gather some of the material we’re bringing, and strategise on how we can make our PWYP voices heard at the Summit and talk about key messages also ahead of the EITI Conference! Come with your ideals and aims.  (Room 214, Shaw Centre)

  • 12:00-13:30: Public Beneficial Ownership Registries: The Emerging Open Data Tool In The Global Fight Against Money Laundering, Terrorist Financing, and Corruption – PWYP Canada, Canadians For Tax Fairness, and Transparency International Canada – (Room 214, Shaw Centre)

  • 13:40-15:00: Open Government Commitments for Accountable and Gender-Responsive Natural Resource Governance  – Publish What You Pay (PWYP), the EITI International Secretariat, Oxfam Canada and PWYP Canada (Room 214, Shaw Centre)

  • 13:40-15:00: Removing roadblocks on civil society to achieve all OGP goals – ICNL – (Room 201, Shaw Centre)
