PWYP Iraq is a coalition of NGOs, unions, media establishments, academic and legal members, oil and economic experts, seeking to enhance transparency in the extractive industries and monitoring of revenues for good governance, to achieve sustainable development and equitable distribution of wealth for all Iraqi.
The Iraqi Alliance for energy Governance and Sustainable Development (IAEGSD), one the largest PWYP coalitions with 52 members was established in June 2011. It supports the effective implementation of the EITI initiative in Iraq. The coalition includes members from Kurdistan to encourage the KRG to participate fully in the initiative.
